Hookflo integration guide

Standard Webhooks webhook monitoring and alerts

Monitor any service that signs deliveries using the Standard Webhooks format, verify incoming deliveries, and send useful alerts to Slack or email from one clear event timeline.

What are Standard Webhooks webhooks?

Standard Webhooks webhooks send an HTTP request when an event occurs in your Standard Webhooks account. Teams use them to react to any service that signs deliveries using the Standard Webhooks format without repeatedly polling an API. Hookflo gives each delivery a searchable record and can notify the right team when an event arrives or signature verification fails.

Events to monitor

Choose the event types that matter in your Standard Webhooks configuration. Common examples include:

  • event from your sender
  • verified delivery
  • delivery failure

Connect Standard Webhooks to Slack or email

  1. Create a webhook in Hookflo and select Standard Webhooks.
  2. Copy the unique Hookflo webhook URL.
  3. In The sending service’s webhook endpoint settings, add the Hookflo URL and choose the event types to send.
  4. Use the signing secret supplied by the sender. Hookflo supports Standard Webhooks headers and compatible Svix-style header names.
  5. Save the endpoint, send a test event, and choose Slack or email for notifications.

Verify signatures and debug delivery issues

Make sure the sender’s signing secret and header format match the Standard Webhooks configuration selected in Hookflo.

When a delivery fails, check the selected event, destination URL, and provider-specific signing secret first. Hookflo keeps the event payload and verification result together so the issue is easier to diagnose.
